NightRide is an advanced thermal imaging camera and heads-up display system that's designed for driving at night. Unlike night vision, NightRide is a thermal imager that can see infrared. With NightRide, you can:
- See and avoid animals in the roadway more than 1/4 of a mile away, even if they're hiding behind a bush or a tree
- See people, bicycles, and objects in ways that headlights can't
NOTE: Some footage has been sped up to reduce video run time
Maximize your safety with NightRide.
NightRide is a thermal imaging camera designed for vehicle use. With a heat detection range of 1800 feet, NightRide can help you see objects in the roadway more than a quarter of a mile away.
Wireless Camera, Heads-Up Display
Typically mounted to the rear edge of your vehicle's hood, NightRide wirelessly transmits what the camera sees to a screen inside your vehicle. The screen can be attached to your windshield using the included mount, or it can be configured as a heads-up display, projecting the camera feed directly onto your windshield.
Fast, Easy Installation
Each NightRide kit comes with a no-drill mount, which can be installed in just a couple of minutes. Because the camera transmits wirelessly, installation is easy (no wires to run thru the firewall, no drilling, etc.). Just connect NightRide to your vehicle battery, sync the screen with the camera's wi-fi signal using the NightRide app, and then decide how you want to mount the screen.
The screen can be mounted either directly to your windshield with the included suction cup mount, or it can be configured as a heads-up display (HUD). To configure the screen as a HUD, add the no-slip mount to your dash, place the screen face up, and then install the included HUD transparent reflective film.
Designed For The Elements
The NightRide camera is designed for the elements, with an IP69 rated anodized aluminum enclosure that is resistant to wind, water, and dust. In fact, the NightRide can be submerged underwater without damage!
NightRide has been designed for heavy-duty use in tough environments, and is fully functional in most weather conditions (only range is impacted, particularly in heavy rain).
Special Mount for Wrangler, Defender, and Other Models
For vehicles with a exposed hood hinges like the JEEP Wrangler, Land Rover Defender 90 and Defender 110, and various older models like the FJ40, we offer a different type of hood mounting hardware. This hardware is an additional $40.
While the standard mounting hardware will work on these vehicles, the NightRide camera will have to be mounted outside of the hood hinges rather than between them (as is recommended). For these models, we offer an upgraded mount.
For all other vehicles, the standard hood mount option will work just fine.
